Work in active data center
The CA22 campus is the second expansion on this confidential client’s campus in Santa Clara. The campus was planned to accommodate three total buildings and up to 74 MW of critical IT load.
Constructiv performed as the technology designer and engineer of record (EOR) as well as the general contractor for the 6MW client fit out of the fourth floor in the CA22 building. The scope of work included pre-construction services: project management, development of design, electrical and structural engineering, permitting, development of CPM schedule, and establishing GMP for the customer.
Upon client approval, our team then implemented the general contracting. The scope involved the construction of the electrical distribution from the facility PDUs to the busway to rack, horizontal fiber/cable support (ladder rack), hot aisle containment system installation, procurement, and installation of “middle of row” (MOR) racks and fiber installation as well as security rough in, devices, and activation as well as al seismic anchorage of the systems. Ultimately, our team performed the installation, commissioning, and turnover of the data center on-time, below the self-developed GMP and with zero punch-list items.
