The CA22 building represents the second major expansion of a confidential client’s growing data center campus in Santa Clara. Planned for three total buildings and up to 74 MW of critical IT load, the campus continues to support some of the most demanding enterprise workloads in the region.

Constructiv served as both the technology designer and engineer of record (EOR) as well as the general contractor for a 6 MW client fit-out on the fourth floor of the CA22 building.

Preconstruction Services

Constructiv led all pre-construction activities, including:

  • Full project management

  • Design development

  • Electrical and structural engineering

  • Permitting coordination

  • Critical path method (CPM) scheduling

  • Establishment of the guaranteed maximum price (GMP)

Construction Execution

Following client approval, Constructiv executed the general contracting phase, which included:

  • Installation of electrical distribution from facility PDUs to busway and rack

  • Horizontal cable/fiber support (ladder rack) installation

  • Deployment of hot aisle containment systems

  • Procurement and installation of “middle of row” (MOR) racks

  • Structured fiber cabling

  • Security rough-in, device installation, and system activation

  • Seismic anchoring of all critical systems

Results

Constructiv delivered the project on time, under the self-developed GMP, and with zero punch-list items. The successful delivery of this 6 MW data hall further reinforces Constructiv’s reputation for precision, accountability, and technical excellence on high-performance data center projects.
