Retrofits

Much of the enterprise and service provider edge live inside aging data centers. Equipment installed 10 to 20 years ago is, in many cases, end of life, obsolete or at best inefficient. We take great pride in our ability to safely perform upgrades in and around operational data centers, while keeping in mind that customers do not tolerate unplanned outages. In addition, they do not want the safety or quiet enjoyment of their operations jeopardized. We get that!

Repurposing Existing Assets

Inflationary pressure, burdened supply chains and a shortage of labor has had a significant impact on the speed and cost of new building construction. At the same time, many enterprises have reduced their in-office staffing with remote work programs and flexible office days. The combination of these trends provide enterprises with the opportunity to look within their portfolios to identify assets that can be converted from hosting people to computers. We have a long history of designing and building the structural, mechanical and electrical upgrades necessary to convert these assets into operational data centers.

Tenant Improvements

Colocation and wholesale clients design and build data centers on spec to get ahead of market demand. When their design and construction teams turn over the data center to the commercial side of the business, we support those teams by designing and building out the space to the tenant’s specification. We install RPPs, busway, whips, cabinets, conveyances, structured cabling, and containment. We also augment cooling by installing liquid-based technologies to the row, rack, or chip. In addition, since hyperscaler's have well defined specs, our team can swiftly design and install equipment allowing our clients to begin collecting rent quickly.

Core and Shell

Building data center shells promotes pre-leasing and preserves design flexibility for large end users. Our experienced team of design, pre-construction and project management professionals enable developers to transform large shell and core assets into operational data centers that meet the specialized demands of their most sophisticated tenants.

Enterprise Server Rooms

Most of the fortune 1000 enterprises have moved into the cloud to support most of their IT needs. However, some systems just cannot live in the public cloud. Proximity to the applications supported by the compute stack, enhanced security and latency are just a few reasons that large enterprises continue to build out data centers within their campuses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and R&D facilities. We like building large data centers, but we will not ignore an opportunity to work with an enterprise to design and build a 500kW data center.

Multi-Tenant Colocation and Interconnection

These specialized facilities require careful planning and preconstruction efforts. We work with data center owner operators in the colocation and carrier hotel business to assess capacity against commitments and consumption, master plan for future growth and retrofit and build new data centers and meet-me-rooms to enhance the value of these increasingly important assets.

Modular Data Centers and Central Plant

Over the past 15 years there has been significant progress around integrated modular data centers. From power skids and external modules to complete integrated data centers and modular building systems there is no shortage of ways in which both enterprises and data center businesses can leverage the benefits of modular systems. Our team installs modular systems to deliver solutions for the mobile edge compute stack serving geo-proximate applications as well as centralized modular buildings at scale.
